Venice Vlog

I just uploaded my video of my trip to Venice on youtube, I used my Go Pro Hero 3 and it was my first time so don't judge & go watch :)

My Trip To Venice

So far, 2016 has been crazy for me. Good crazy though :)

Since graduating, I have been to Florida, got a new job & celebrated my 21st birthday!!

One of my many amazing gifts, was a city break to Venice for three days with my boyfriend! It was the most amazing trip and Venice is so so beautiful. If you haven't been, i would highly recommend a visit.

I know I haven't blogged in forever, but I am going to start trying more and organise some photoshoots for the weekends now that Summer is almost upon us :)

Here are my favourite snaps of my three days in Venice, shot with my Canon 5D MK ii and 24-105mm lens.

Enjoy <3

When in Rome

I had the most amazing week in Rome & managed to tick off everything on my bucket list apart from The Trevi Fountain, which I did visit but unfortunately it was under restoration and covered in scaffolding so I wasn't able to take any photographs of it or make a wish there.

I guess it just means that I'll have to be going back.... :-)

Here are my personal favourites & you can find the rest on my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.369719349874146.1073741856.232222153623867&type=1

Calling all book worms

For Christmas this year, I received a few photography books as presents & I'm so excited to have some time to sit down and read them.
I haven't had chance to read any of them yet so this isn't a review blog post or anything like that, it's just a post to tell you which ones I'm excited about :-)

Tim Walker - Storyteller

The first book I got was Tim Walker's Storyteller. I absolutely love this book!! I went to see the exhibition whilst studying my A levels and it was amazing. I find it so inspiring to flick through and get some ideas for future shoots of my own. It's such a heavy book but worth it for all the amazing imagery inside! The main intentions for the book were to recreate fairytales and children's tales in the fashion world. It is incredible & a must read for every budding photographer out there!!

Lonely Planet's Best Ever Photography Tips

This is my favourite just because of the amazing front cover that looks like a camera!! This book is all about techniques and tips to help you when photography mainly location & travel pictures. This is something I am really interested in as a hobby and I haven't had as much time as I would like to flick through it yet but it looks really interesting. There are also some fantastic photographs in there too! Anyone who is looking to travel or take some travel images even when just on holiday then I would recommend this. :)
Unseen Vogue - The Secret History of Fashion Photography

I can't wait to start reading this book! The photographs in there are so amazing & have given me some amazing ideas for my own future shoots. It's really interesting to see some examples of photographs that never made it into Vogue because of the composition or exposure, & it proves just how tough the fashion industry really is. Really interesting and a must read for anyone who loves fashion or portrait photography.

Thats all for now, I will review these books and write a blog post when I have read them all.

Check them out on Amazon if you are interested in buying a copy :) www.amazon.co.uk

Wishing everyone a happy new year :)

NYC To Do List..

Last week I paid my deposit to go to New York with my college in February and I am honestly soo soo excited!! It's gonna be amazing, so I'm writing my blog post this week on my top to do's while I am there, there will be loads more things that I want to do but I'm just going to narrow my list down for the purpose of this blog post.

By the way these are not in any sort of order! Just an order of what I could think of first in my head :)

10. Staten Island Ferry

9. Statue of Liberty

8. Empire State Building

7. Rockerfella Centre

6. Central Park

5. Brooklyn Bridge

4. Maceys

3. Times Square

2. Grand Central Station

1. Ground Zero

There is the main list of the things I'd like to do in New York City, after I start researching and reading travel blogs I will add things to the list and probably have about 50 things to do on it! Think I'm going to need to stay there for 5 weeks not just 5 days! If anyone has any ideas of things to do while I'm over there I'd love to know :)
